Despite its faults, I did enjoy the brief amount of time I spent with the game, and I feel like it has a lot of potential thanks to a distinct premise. Unfortunately, there isn’t enough in Gods Will Falls world or gameplay that warrants me giving it a glaring recommendation,...
Disc Room is a solid addition to the bullet hell genre. Alongside fluid gameplay mechanics, the choice to include puzzles makes the reaction-based thought process required to succeed in the game that much more chaotic and fun.
For better or worse, NHL 21 lives up to the same quality of work it's known for in previous generations. While there are some attempts to push the series forward, the ones that could elevate it to the next line fall short of scoring any significant points. Just like most...
Windbound is full of inspired ideas, especially when it comes to the potentially open world sea exportation. Those aspirations fall considerably short, though, as a lack of depth and creativity in its world gameplay sap the wind from its sails, leaving it adrift amidst a sea of better survival games.
I do not doubt that anyone who loved the original Crysis to bits would be able to overlook the flaws to be able to take some nostalgia on the go. With everything else that is out on the Nintendo Switch, this isn't going to break the mold as it did...
While it may not be for everyone, I encourage those who are frustrated to mess with things first before giving up on Desperados III entirely, as it's an excellent example of a game you should give time to gestate.
Any Harvest Moon, Season of Stories, or Rune Factory fan should definitey check this one out on Nintendo Switch, as it has one of the most charismatic worlds I've seen in a game in the genre yet.
Even though it doesn't reinvent the wheel, at the end of the day, strategy fans - and certainly XCOM fans - will enjoy the improvements that Phoenix Point makes, especially if this is just the beginning.
An appealing thing about the Harvest Moon/Story of Seasons series is that players can place themselves in the shoes of the main character; painting their picture of the story out on the blank canvas provided.
Like many, Oxenfree surprised the hell out of me in 2016, as Night School Studio’s debut title surpassed expectations with its moving story and clever gameplay mechanics. As such, Afterparty has been on my shortlist ever since it was announced, especially considering the absurdity of its premise.
The simulation genre has made significant strides over the last decade. Titles like Stardew Valley, Story of Seasons, and My Time at Portia have carried on the Harvest Moon legacy, proving that these farming games aren’t as niche as they once seemed.
Killer Queen Black sounds like absolute chaos on paper. Together, two groups of queen killer bee and their workers must battle it out, winning via either their military or economic skills… or by riding a snail?
