Kingdom Come: Deliverance II is a true achievement. It features the most immersive open world I've ever played in.
Dynasty Warriors: Origins became one of my most anticipated games after getting to go hands-on with it late last year. The good news is that Koei Tecmo has completely delivered on its promising revamp of the series. The bad news? Well, there isn’t any. The game is great and some of the most fun I’ve had in an action game in years.
Hot Wheels Unleashed 2 earns its Turbocharged subtitle as it builds on the original's base to deliver a more polished and enjoyable sequel.
Exoprimal isn’t the dinosaur-based video game anyone wanted Capcom to make. That said, it’s more than solid if you can get past that initial disappointment of it simply not being Dino Crisis.
Crash Team Rumble, a team-based four-on-four multiplayer game, isn’t likely what anyone was asking for after the bandicoot’s successful return in 2020’s Crash Bandicoot 4: It’s About Time. But that’s not necessarily a bad thing. While it’s difficult to see there being a huge market for this game that’s more like a MOBA than a new Crash Bash, it is still rather enjoyable, especially when played with friends.
Typically when the NBA season comes around, players have the choice of picking between either NBA 2K or NBA Live for their digital basketball fix. However, this year sees Electronic Arts’ title releasing later in the year after a recent delay, so NBA 2K20 is the only game on the market if you want a new title. Thankfully for fans, the up-and-down series has largely been a slam dunk this year as its consistently great gameplay is aided by a fantastic story mode and less invasive microtransactions.
Steins;Gate Elite is a fantastic version of 5pb.'s beloved visual novel. Not only do the animated sequences help bring its story to life while players read, but the phone trigger gameplay system has been intelligently streamlined as well.
