Assassin's Creed should certainly be played by anyone who's got a capable PC, but don't expect to be playing something that will go down in history as one of the greatest games of all time.

Assassin's Creed: Odyssey is a solid attempt to create a new epic, but it also falls foul of similar missteps to its predecessors.

Since nearly all the various trinkets and relics and map markers have meaningful purpose, Assassin’s Creed Valhalla is a rare open-world game where virtually every activity feels worth doing. Like Eivor scaling the snow-covered mountains of Norway, Valhalla achieves new heights for the RPG era of Assassin’s Creed, and I’ve never been more excited to see where the series goes next.

Assassin's Creed is comfortably the greatest video game movie to date. Boasting brilliantly shot fight scenes, surprisingly competent performances and a silly but enjoyable Dan Brown-style conspiracy plot, it largely manages to avoid the camp and over the top feel that plagues the genre. Yet while it’s a solid game-to-movie adaptation, the problem is, it’s still not a particularly good movie.
