Guild Wars 2 is an MMORPG developed by Arena.net and published by NCSOFT for the PC platform. It has been around since 2012 and is still one of the best MMOs out there. This in great part due to The Living world - the developer's official term for any changes to the game intended to breathe life into the world known as Tyria. Come, and enjoy how the story unravels after having confronted the God of War!

As the first major content update launches this week, ArenaNet will be able to start molding Guild Wars 2 into the game that they envisioned it would be. The Guild Wars that launched back in 2005 is a completely different game than the Guild Wars of 2012. ArenaNet knows the difference between launched and finished. Once the Live Team gets their hands on this revolutionary MMO, all the problems that players have with the game should start to disappear, and mountains of content will begin to build up.

MMO and everything it stands for will never be the same again, now that Guild Wars 2 radically shifted its entire dynamic. The focus that this brilliant universe puts on active gameplay is unparalleled in any of its peers and it adds to that a myriad of innovative changes and welcoming incentives that all urge the player in the right direction. Musing of this game could last a lifetime, but it should be a certainty that Guild Wars 2 is a game anyone and everyone will enjoy, even the most hardcore singleplayer.

In reality, Guild Wars 2 will likely only get better in the coming weeks and months whilst players settle in, features mature and the long-term content plans reveal themselves. It’s not often you can say that about any MMO in this day and age, and even if this is one of the final death rattles for the template we’ve come to know and love over the past decade or more, what a hell of a way it would be to say goodbye. ArenaNet has built one of the most exhaustively detailed and rewarding MMOs in existence, one that never unfairly penalizes and fosters an incredible urge to explore through a generous reward system and achingly pretty environment design. It’s a virtual world that more than anything wants you to work together with others, and provides a huge number of possibilities for cooperation while minimizing restrictions.
