Seriously, this game is fantastic. Hades is my current pick for Game of the Year, and other games will be hard-pressed to nudge it far down the list. I’m going to pick up a second copy for Switch so I can start it all fresh and play it anywhere. Give it a try. Hell, give all Supergiant Games’ titles a try. You’re in for a great time, and there are no game developers out there I’d sooner recommend.

Hades is everything great about the roguelite genre all but perfected. Few games aim as high, and fewer still reach their goals. Hades does, exceeding even the loftiest expectations.

Hades PS5 Review - Hades is finally on PS4 and PS5, and it was worth the wait. Supergiant Games' latest is deserving of every award it's won over the last year.

Hades is an absolutely stellar experience that will keep you hooked in from the beginning, with a beautiful visual design and score, not to mention an excellent narrative and intricate gameplay that will keep you coming back again and again for just one more run.

Hades perfectly blends high-octane action with roguelike randomization to deliver an exhilirating experience that never lets up.

Deep beneath Mt. Olympus, and far from the influence of Zeus, the god of the underworld rules supreme over the souls of the dead. His rule is cold and stern, with a vicious bite prepared for those who defy his will. Prince Zagreus has never felt he belongs among the damned. Though he lives comfortably and with considerable prestige among the riff raff of hell, he longs for more. Intrigued by the d...

Even as you groan in anguish as Zagreus succumbs to a fraught boss battle once again, you’ll dust yourself off and jump right back into Hades. It’s too alluring not to. Yes, we can levy criticisms about the roguelike genre in general at it, but the fact is, few games perfect the formula quite like Hades does; it’s one of the best roguelikes you’ll ever play. With a slew of upgrades available, gorg...

The reason to keep coming back to Hades isn't just the thrills you'll get battling through hell, but the characters and stories you learn about along the way.

Hades is a roguelike action-RPG where story matters as much as combat.

Hades is one of the few near-perfect games not only on the Steam Deck, but in existence.

As expected, Hades knocks it out of the park, offering a stellar experience to Xbox players for the first time. It's every bit as incredible as it was a year ago, with punchy combat, an addictive gameplay loop and a cast of characters that prove to be charming and terrifying in the same breath. It's a shame a few frame rate issues sour the experience occasionally, but make no mistake, Hades is abs...

Hades is an example of a masterfully designed cohesive package. It’s few flaws only manage to surface because of how much the game expects you to play it. Its greatness remains untarnished because you’ll want to. Zeus owns the sky, and Poseidon the sea. Well, eat it Olympus. Hades has a kick-ass game.
