Little Kitty, Big City is a great little adventure that had me grinning from start to finish. It harnesses the inherent charm that cats have and brings that to an experience that can be enjoyed by almost every type of player looking for a relaxed experience. Exploration and fun are at the core of what Little Kitty, Big City sets out to do and some clunky platforming controls are the only obstacles to total triumph. For now, this is the most "cat" game that you can possibly buy.

Little Kitty, Big City is the latest in an expanding litter of animal-themed sandbox games. Much like Goat Simulator 3 or Untitled Goose Game, this is a cosy game with vague objectives and no real consequences if you make a mistake.

Little Kitty, Big City is a hugely charming, succinct romp that's littered with gags laser-targeted at cat owners. It's light and breezy in the best ways, and although some technical rubs soured my time on Xbox Series X, it's a purr-fectly pleasant time.

Iffy platforming aside, reveling in cat mischief is incredibly cathartic, as you can climb up balconies to knock over potted plants and watch them shatter, or trip up pedestrians and run off with their phones or lunch. You’ll also be able to dress your cat up in a variety of adorable hats, from a watermelon head to a wizard hat, which are found scattered around the game’s world or collected randomly through the various capsule machines you can find in the city. It’s a great way to encourage you to explore every inch of the city to see what new...

While other games like Stray have dug deeper into the existential storytelling that playing as a cat can provide, nothing else has quite captured the whimsy and joy of a feline perspective like Little Kitty, Big City. For players who might be worried the fun goes by too quickly, this one has already been a blast to replay. This could become the cutest speedrunning game around, but it's just as easy to kick back and relax as you take charge of that city.

A charmingly short and sweet Metroidvania style adventure, featuring an ordinary cat doing ordinary cat things, in a game that’s perfect for casual gamers and for enjoying between larger epics.

Little Kitty, Big City is paw-sitively dripping with the kind of honest charm that can only manifest in a title that was clearly beloved by every person making it. A delightful feline snack that easily excuses any of its rough edges by way of being so fur-ociously fun and wholesome.

Little Kitty, Big City is a cozy adventure truly worthy of its feline namesake, which could have benefitted from more commitment to its chaotic side.

Being a cat is every bit as joyful as you'd hope, and Little Kitty, Big City's protagonist makes this short open-world romp a delight from start to finish. Get up to mischief, help out animal friends, trip over human passers-by or befriend them: there is an overall goal to work towards but you'll likely be too busy causing chaos to rush through it. It's just a shame Little Kitty, Big City has a few bugs that need polishing out — but this is still an adorable, enjoyable adventure. Even if you don't have cats, you're going to be hard-pushed not...

Little Kitty, Big City may be low on drama, but there are still a bunch of tasks to complete. Over a small range of a few short city blocks, the cat will meet an industrious tanuki installing portals under manhole covers, a duck searching for their distracted ducklings, and a shrewd crow hawking hats out of a capsule machine for “shinies.” Said hats represent the majority of collectibles, all of which are adorable, swappable, and often inspired by Japanese culture, with bao bun, daikon radish, and taiyaki designs, with dozens more to unlock.

A fun, feline-driven adventure that's only partially held back by it's issues with corny writing, clunky controls, and a few too many hoodie-shaped cat hats.

Little Kitty, Big City gets the assignment, but doesn’t completely land on all four paws. The exploration is a blast, the world is delightful, and the side characters can steal the spotlight. I just felt like my time here was too short, and without much going on during it.

Little Kitty, Big City puts players behind the paws (and toe beans) of an adorable black cat in a city reminiscent of Tokyo's residential areas. After falling high from the comfort of their home's window, the unnamed feline finds itself on the city's streets below. With one thing on their mind – returning home to the perfect spot for a nap – this cat goes on its biggest adventure yet. Admittedly, Little Kitty, Bit City didn’t need to do much to impress me. I love cats, and it immediately nails why I and other cat lovers enjoy these furry friends....
