Marvel's Wolverine, unlike other Insomniac titles, tells its story in a direct and linear fashion, utilizing visual tools that make sense within the context of Logan, but which, in terms of gameplay, negate the sense of discovery found in other games. The plot lacks potential, and its villains aren't very well executed, but in terms of movement and appearance, Wolverine doesn't hold back in showing his savage side, even if the Logan aspect is too noble—and inconsistent—for this world.
Despite the good presentation, the new PS5 exclusive exposes the weaknesses of the single-player formula, which has always been a benchmark on the platform.
Surprisingly not up to Sony's usual first-party standard, but still a fun and violent time.

This is a turn-your-brain-off-and-go-for-a-ride spectacle that occasionally punches above its weight. That works to some extent, but Marvel’s Wolverine doesn’t live up to the creative standard Insomniac Games is known for, and Logan has never been known for playing it safe.
