Star Wars Jedi: Survivor is everything its predecessor, Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order was, only ten times better but its technical shortcomings will be discussed far more than noteworthy virtues.
Star Wars Jedi: Survivor sharpens combat and exploration to a fine point while delivering a story that goes all in on its characters and human drama. Some minor pacing issues can’t stop the game from achieving exciting new heights for the series, if you’re willing to let it take you there.
An even more gripping and heartfelt story than the last, incredibly broadened combat, immersive exploration, and a much deeper assortment of customisation and RPG elements make this Jedi experience your own whilst simultaneously remaining the intimate tale of Cal Kestis and his crew.
Even with the frame rate dips, occasional fuzzy textures, and uneven pacing, this game is a phenomenal sequel, a fantastic Star Wars game, and just a straight-up great game. This is currently my favorite Star Wars game, hands down. Between the stellar writing, exploration, traversal, and combat, Survivor offers a powerful experience, and one well worth having. Whether you want to wait a bit for a few more patches or you just want to jump in now, this game is worth your time. In a year full of exciting releases, Survivor will endure near the top of the pack without question.

Respawn Entertainment shocked everyone in 2019, not just by releasing a new Star Wars game (something totally different for the company that made its reputation from first-person shooters), but by releasing an actual good Star Wars game. I would even go as far as to say that Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order was one of the best Star Wars products to be released in a very long time. Fans were hopeful for a sequel to the successful entry, and now four years later, Star Wars Jedi: Survivor is finally...
It’s a shame, as the different planets you visit are indeed stunning. Each is distinct and has its own unique features that make revisiting for collectibles all the more appealing, while the abundance of fast-travel meditation spots makes collecting quite convenient. The music is beautiful too, adding to the atmosphere while feeling distinctly Star Wars while rarely actually using the iconic tracks. I’d personally love to hear a bit more of the incredible music the franchise already features be used in appropriate moments, but the original stuff is great.
A better sequel with way more content and great attention to detail. It expands on every area of the previous game but it also comes with a good number of performance setbacks and visual glitches. It would be a near-perfect game if it wasn't for such a rushed release.

This is a solid Star Wars game with excellent combat, great immersion for fans, and an engaging story. It looks great at most times, but runs poorly overall and needs patches for PC before it gets a solid buy recommendation.
The story works but it has some notable flaws, and if you’re familiar with the property lots of it feels like familiar ground. The gameplay is solid enough but it’s very much about following a very strict path rather than going off in new directions. The visuals are afforded far too much weight and don’t actually work all that well beyond seeing quick snippets in trailers.
