The Last of Us is at or near the top of a very short list of must play games in 2013. It not only fulfills the expectation from Naughty Dog fans of game with a beautiful presentation and well thought out story, but its also got the gameplay that is both fun and tension filled.

The Last of Us portrays a harrowing vision of the future that's frighteningly believable. The intense gameplay of The Last of Us is complimented by fantastic characters, and watching Ellie and Joel's relationship grow as the cruel world attempts to remove them from existence is something every gamer should experience.

The Last of Us’ ending was so sacred that just the mere idea of a sequel seems sacrilegious. Ambiguity as poetic as that is woefully uncommon and a follow-up could easily dismantle that purity. Instead of letting naughty dogs lie, developer Naughty Dog decided to make the inconclusive ending more conclusive with The Last of Us 2. This remarkably ambitious sequel shares some of the qualities of its predecessor, but, much like a host fighting a fungal infection, that same ambition has also taken over and turned the game into a shambling husk of its former self.

The game had great mechanics but was just to slow for a post apocalypse style games.

Multiplayer features in The Last of Us, coming under the title “Factions” which clearly is says enough about the mission of multiplayer, you and three other team mates will fight against opposing factions, gathering supplies for your own personal faction, one lovely feature included is that each team member is given a personal goal, e.g. kill a number of guards, collect x amount of supplies. All that you’ve learnt in the campaign will prepare you perfectly for what lies ahead in factions using your arsenal of crafting, listening, stealth and gunfire.
