Far Cry 5
Far Cry 5 wastes no time in showing you the horrific conditions of Hope County. After a brief helicopter ride, you are led into a church filled with armed psychopaths, and bear witness to The Father, Joseph Seed, and his fiery, doomsday-laden preaching. “We will not let them take out...
Ryū ga Gotoku (like a dragon) is a phenomenon in Japan. Although in the west we simply know the series as Yakuza. I’ve had the opportunity to play the latest game in the series, Yakuza 6: The Song of Life, from end to end. And whilst I have a lot...
Sea of Thieves
BOOM! On my command my first mate fires me from our port-side cannons towards Snake Island. Sailing gracefully through the air like an albatross on the currents of the wind I take stock of the situation ahead of me and my men. We would face an army of skeletons and...
Ni no Kuni 2: Revenant Kingdom feels like I’ve been sucked into a gorgeous Studio Ghibli inspired universe full of quirky characters, with a solid combination of tried-and-true gameplay concepts that sometimes don’t resonate, but other times soar into exciting and addictive territory. Devil May Cry has long been heralded as one of the finest action series of all time. From slick visuals, satisfying combat, and just plain cool design choices, players have reveled in playing as Dante and co. in some hectic demon slaying action. 2018 has brought the Devil May Cry...
Attack on Titan 2
Attack on Titan 2 is a third-person action game with slight RPG elements by Koei Tecmo, the long awaited sequel to Attack on Titan: Wings of Freedom and an extension to the amazing animated world that is Attack on Titan.
I don’t think I remember a time before Warhammer. Starting life as a table top strategy game with an array of miniatures that you could purchase at any of the million Games Workshops found in literally every shopping centre. Making the move to digital the Warhammer franchise has tackled sports,...
Kirby Star Allies
Few characters are as recognisable as one of Nintendo’s mascots. Mario, Samus, Link, Donkey Kong and that tiny little pink blob with an appetite for literally anything, Kirby. Unfortunately while iconically recognisable, Kirby has never quite managed to have a massive hit game with western audiences like the rest of...
Darwin Project
When Charles Darwin came up with his ‘survival of the fittest’ theory he probably wasn’t referring to 10 homicidal maniacs running around the snow and mutilating each other with axes and arrows. Yet here we are.
Frantics
Party games. There is always time for party games. Gather a group of your friends and pit them against each other in a digital coliseum. That’s when you find out exactly who your friends are, and that Barbara never forgave Carol for that time she said her cupcakes were dry....
