Darius Cozmic Collection
My personal recommendation is the Console Collection, as the number of games and overall value feels more worthwhile, but Darius Gaiden is part of the Arcade Collection, so neither is really a bad buy. Both have various modes outside of the core games, like Time Attack and Practice Mode in...
Unfortunately, the resolution doesn’t quite hold up to the rest. I won’t spoil what happens, but after a few hours of a good, intriguing story, the ultimate explanation includes a final twist that just feels unpleasant. Some players will probably enjoy the ending for what it is, and a few...
I’m not really one to talk about performance, but when I do you know it’s bad. I started playing the game on PC and experienced near-constant crashing. Each mission would suffer a crash at least half a dozen times before I could finish it, and the worst part is that...
Skelattack’s greatest strength comes in its hand-drawn visuals. Skelly’s design is simple but very charming, as is the case with Imber and the many side-characters in the game. The environments are fun to explore and to look at as well, and the music can be catchy here and there.
Though technically released for free alongside Aftermath, the Friendship finishers deserve a shout-out for how creative and silly they are. From the Joker being interrupted by a stray Batarang to Kitana playing patty-cake with the sadly-absent Mileena, there’s a ton of fanservice and straight-up goofy imagery shoved into each Friendship....

Overall, while Those Who Remain has a few frustrating aspects and relies a bit too much on conveniently teleporting the protagonist to the next place he needs to be, it’s a solid horror game. The story was dark, the monsters were scary, and I enjoyed my time in Dormont from...
As you explore the world you’ll find countless goofs to uncover from a giant sleeping baby to a drunk who’s getting trashed in the gym shower cause they shut the pool down. It’s all humorous enough and adds to the world, but nothing is exactly “laugh at loud” funny. When...
Also, the English voice-acting is great, both in the main game and the Future Connected epilogue. I’m normally a subs/original voices kind of guy, but the world of Xenoblade feels suited to the wide variety of English accents that the voice actors bring to their characters. Shulk’s voice, in particular,...
Gears Tactics is a refreshing take on the tactics genre that has something for both Gears of War fans and newcomers to the series. While the difficulty varies for boss fights, this is a great place to start if you’re a fan of Gears but haven’t delved into Turn-Based Tactics...
The only major bummer for me was how short the overall game was. I had every area (besides one I believe) at 90% competition and hit credits at just shy of 9 hours; if I bothered to get a total 100% completion it’d maybe take me another hour or so...
Most puzzles were unique enough, but none were truly puzzling. One puzzle, in particular, has Peet riding a skateboard and hitting certain checkpoints to unlock roadblocks. It was much too overused and sometimes failed to introduce enough variance to justify another use. Some puzzles can be solved immediately but have...
