LEGO Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga Reviews
Professional reviews from gaming critics
LEGO Star Wars The Skywalker Saga is a massive achievement for a beloved anthology franchise that needed to change. There are so many new welcome additions that I hope become staples for the future. But there are just as equal parts that felt unnecessary. These 3 years since the LEGO games last release and recent revelations were hopefully taken in as a learning experience
When a title gets a grand number, it’s a video-game worth spending your whole life in.
The Skywalker Saga is a culmination of all the LEGO games so far. The gameplay has been polished to sheer perfection and it comes with enough content to keep you busy for quite some time.
In short, LEGO Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga is one of the best LEGO and Star Wars games ever made. Only the long-awaited Knights of the Old Republic remakes might be able to top it. Despite being one of the best, it is also essential to emphasize its setbacks: Some side quests could have been better, and game-breaking bugs are incredibly annoying. Game studios need to understand that forcing the developers to crunch to finish the game in a concise amount of time never results in a perfect game and this game is an excellent example of that.
When the twin suns set on my time with LEGO Star Wars The Skywalker Saga, it was obvious to me that this production is lavished with love and worth every stud of its asking price. I've been around the block(s) with TT's games for some 15 years now, and this is without a doubt the best thing they've ever snapped together. If you're a gamer who’s young or young-at-heart-container, I'd be very surprised if this didn’t instantly click with you.
Improvements on the already entertaining LEGO formula such as a tighter perspective and reworked combat systems make The Skywalker Saga's retelling of the nine mainline Star Wars films a blast for fans of all ages.
Packed with content and fun gameplay, Lego Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga has something to offer most fans of the long-running sci-fi franchise.
It always felt like LEGO Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga would struggle to live up to its lofty promise of delivering essentially the most expansive Star Wars game to date, but the team at TT Games really have done an amazing job on it. We've still got a few nitpicks, and we also wish it included online co-op support, but there's no denying that it's a stunningly beautiful and brilliantly ambitious take on the world of Star Wars complete with endlessly enjoyable gameplay and enough side-content to keep you busy for many, many hours to come. We've been waiting so long for this game to arrive, and...
Lego Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga is the most ambitious Lego game yet, and despite the occasional technical mishap it delivers a daring and often delightful romp through the most iconic film franchise of all time.
LEGO Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga is an incredible package that alters the expectations for a LEGO game with only a few poorly implemented features holding it back from harnessing the true power of the force.
