It always felt like LEGO Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga would struggle to live up to its lofty promise of delivering essentially the most expansive Star Wars game to date, but the team at TT Games really have done an amazing job on it. We've still got a few nitpicks, and we also wish it included online co-op support, but there's no denying that it's a stunningly beautiful and brilliantly ambitious take on the world of Star Wars complete with endlessly enjoyable gameplay and enough side-content to keep you busy for many, many hours to come. We've been waiting so...

Lego Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga is the most ambitious Lego game yet, and despite the occasional technical mishap it delivers a daring and often delightful romp through the most iconic film franchise of all time.

This is no ruse. Lego Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga was my most anticipated game of 2022. Yep, more than Ghostwire: Tokyo, more than Elden Ring, more than the upcoming Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Shredder’s Revenge. Ever since taking a look at it during E3 2019 (now that’s a name I haven’t heard in a long time), I knew this was shaping up to become something special, the be-all and end-all of both Lego and modern Star Wars games. I knew I was putting an ungodly amount of pressure on a...

LEGO Star Wars The Skywalker Saga is a massive achievement for a beloved anthology franchise that needed to change. There are so many new welcome additions that I hope become staples for the future. But there are just as equal parts that felt unnecessary. These 3 years since the LEGO games last release and recent revelations were hopefully taken in as a learning experience

Lego Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga is impressive in every sense. From the tight, scripted story gameplay to the sprawling open world, every piece of this game feels lovingly crafted. While the Switch version feels a bit dated, that's not the fault of the developer, which squeezed an impressive performance from Nintendo's handheld. This is a game with enough fresh content to keep players coming back for years to come.

Lego Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga does a fine job of reinvigorating the Lego game formula, even if it continues to be mired in gargantuan amounts of busywork. Most importantly, however, it’s a highly entertaining Star Wars spectacle that brings humor and joy in Sarlaac-sized portions.

Skywalker Saga succeeds most when it captures that Star Wars feeling, which it does often. Visually the game is an absolute delight, and of course, it’s filled with all the authentic Star Wars music and sound effects needed. There’s fantastic humor and gameplay design in the main missions, but at times it can struggle under the sheer weight of things to see and do.

A breathtakingly expansive and authentic recreation of the core Star Wars universe in LEGO. Its gameplay is predictably simplistic at times, but literally everything else is stellar. At last, THIS is the droid you are looking for.

A Star Wars compilation that's undeniably fun, but wildly inconsistent and with far too much padding from collectibles.

LEGO Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga is an incredible achievement. Spanning 9 feature-length films yet never feeling like it overstays its welcome while featuring tons of actually funny stupid jokes, solid gameplay, gorgeous graphics, great voice acting, and all the nostalgia you could ever wish for this game is a triumph. It has done the impossible and made me enjoy spending time with episodes 1 and 2, hell not only enjoy but absolutely love it. Holy Snokes is this game awesome and everyone who enjoys Star Wars at all should play it.

That LEGO video games have proven so popular in the Star Wars space is a feat that is rarely given enough praise. LEGO’s games are all about poking fun at their subject matter; Star Wars is a series where, if you criticize a background character who showed up for 30 seconds in Return of the Jedi, some corner of the internet will start a harassment campaign against you. Many Star Wars fans treat the series with a level of reverence that it perhaps doesn’t deserve, considering some of the nonsense it has thrown up — Jar-Jar Binks, Anakin’s hatred of...

LEGO Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga does a lot of things right that make it the best LEGO Star Wars game, and LEGO game to date. But it's level structure and pacing leave something to be desired more often than not, and co-op play has seemingly gotten far less care and attention than it deserved, putting a damper on what is otherwise a hilarious and fun experience.

Traveller’s Tales has been curating their brand of quirky LEGO adventure game adaptations since 2005, beginning with the LEGO Star Wars prequel trilogy. They have gone on a bit of a Star Wars hiatus since LEGO Star Wars: The Force Awakens in 2016, with various other movie franchises captured in this style. Things have now been brought full circle with LEGO Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga, which adapts all 9 main series episodes, along with opening up the entire galaxy as a sandbox to do side ...

I didn't dive into LEGO Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga expecting to have a lot of fun, but that's exactly what I had: a lot of fun. The witty writing is well timed and expertly delivered, reliving the events of the Star Wars franchise was a welcomed nostalgia trip. Even after completing the game, I woke up excited to dive in and explore more worlds, solve more puzzles, and unlock more characters.

A long time ago in a galaxy far, far away, a studio set out to make a fun romp through Episodes I-III. Not only did they succeed, but they started a franchise that grew stronger with each entry. Now that they've come full circle back to LEGO Star Wars, we can fully see how much they've learned in the years since. It turns out TT Games has learned more than enough to build the biggest and greatest LEGO game yet. LEGO Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga is a triumphant reinvention of the LEGO series, successfully adapting the entirety of the...

I have loved Star Wars since my dad showed me Empire Strikes Back for the first time when I was a child. After that, I was consumed with the story, the characters, and the universe of Star Wars. And in turn, I consumed everything I could about it with fervour. I always wanted more interactions with the planets and characters, I wanted to experience more of the universe in depth. Lego Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga (LSW: TSS) takes what each of the Star Wars trilogies gives fans and builds upon it. The galaxy of each trilogy has been seriously...

TT Games released the original LEGO Star Wars in 2005, completely changing the studio's direction such was its popularity. Since then we've had countless brickified movie tie-ins, but a few years have passed since one of these family-friendly platformers has graced PlayStation. LEGO Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga is finally here to plug the gap and, fortunately for the fans, it's been worth the wait.

Lego Star Wars: The SkyWalker Saga doesn’t really break the mold, and is a recognisably Lego videogame. But the new features and mechanics keep things fresh and interesting, so even longtime Lego Star Wars fans have plenty to enjoy.

Equally charming as it is nostalgic, LEGO Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga is quite possibly the definitive Star Wars video game collection right now, not only from a content perspective, but from an authenticity and a fun factor perspective as well. It's a wonderful experience, especially for those with a soft spot for that galaxy far, far away.

Lego Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga feels like a big step forward for the Lego games. They’ve always lovingly parodied the Star Wars series in particular, but this is a game that celebrates the combined history of the Lego Star Wars models as much as the movies. It’s a must-play for young and old Star Wars or Lego fans alike. The game is out April 5 for $59.99 on PC and Mac, PlayStation 4 and 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X | S, and Nintendo Switch.

LEGO Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga is easily the best compilation that TT Games has put together. Visually stunning, mechanically evolved, and endlessly entertaining, the game puts its foot on the gas and never lets off. Pacing issues and simplicity aside, the fact that the devs could revisit games they literally already made and make this package feel fresh is an accomplishment all its own. No matter how players might feel about the stories of the three trilogies, it’s hard to argue this is the best video game representation of them that just so happens to be LEGO.

LEGO Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga is a good remastering of the LEGO Star Wars games of the past, giving a more extended version of each game in addition to updating the graphics for each story. However, this is showing that the LEGO formula itself is becoming dated when all it can do is add a fresh coat of paint to a series of games that we have seen done to death by this point, including the beginning of the Rey Trilogy. Let’s hope that LEGO Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga doesn’t give Traveller’s Tales any ideas about remaking any...

LEGO Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga is the definitive LEGO Star Wars experience. Although the game can feel a bit cluttered with its overload of collectibles and shiny things to look at, it’s an impressive collection of the full saga. Casting aside the instruction booklet when building something with Lego is always a bit of a risk, but developer TT Games has decided to chuck their tried-and-true blueprint with Lego Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga. For years, TT Games’ Lego titles came out like clockwork and didn’t really change much regardless of whether you were controlling Batman, the Avengers, or Indiana Jones, but The Skywalker Saga promises both completely revamped gameplay and mechanics and more content than the studio has ever delivered before.
