Orcs Must Die! 3
Orcs Must Die 3 is a third-person cooperative tower defense game without the towers. Instead, you have an arsenal of traps you can use to set up diabolical combinations of death-dealing hazards that would even make Jigsaw blush underneath his creepy mask.
Death Roads: Tournament essentially turns Mad Max into a deck-building game, and I feel like that idea deserves an award on its own. What’s particularly impressive is that Death Roads is not simply Slay the Spire with cars. It’s a very unique deck-building game that plays off of its vehicular...
In Kunitsu-Gami: Path of The Goddess, you play as Soh, the guardian and protector of the Maiden Yoshiro on her path to cleanse the mountain of corruption. In many ways, Path of the Goddess resembles an elaborate tower defense game with a personal sword-swinging touch. However, it actually has more...
PlateUp!
Plate Up was certainly a fun experience and I enjoyed unlocking each new dish. But in an ironic twist of fate. Despite being a rogue-lite game I ended up putting a similar amount of time in Plate Up as I did Overcooked, a game I criticized for being too short.
Eldritch Realms is the fourth expansion for Age of Wonders 4, and despite the fact that it doesn’t add a new culture, it’s still one of the biggest yet. It brings a new and unique ruler type in the form of an Eldritch Sovereign, a voidlike being with powerful spell...
Rack and Slay
Rack and Slay is a physics-focused rogue-lite that pockets the concept of Billiards to use in its own unique way. The core of Rack and Slay is quite simple. You have a limited number of shots in each level to eliminate the other balls. The catch is, that the other...
Dragon's Dogma II
Dragon’s Dogma 2 feels unbalanced to such a degree that the game feels rushed. The lack of scaling impacts every facet of the game so much that I hardly have space to address the other negatives which also make the game feel rushed.
Helldivers 2
Helldivers 2 is a team-focused co-op, third-person shooter about waging a galactic war against the enemies of Super Earth. Its moment-to-moment gameplay warps every match into a cinematic masterpiece unique to you and your squad. Every mission is filled with tense moments, epic climatic comebacks, and a ton of humor...

Curious Expedition 2
Curious Expedition 2 is unique enough that it’s difficult to characterize in simple terms. It’s a mixture of rogue-lite, turn-based dice battler, RPG, board game, storytelling generator, and survival game.
Remnant II
Remnant 2’s story is as obtuse as the secrets it keeps. But from a pure gameplay standpoint, it’s a phenomenal game and incredibly replayable whether you’re flying solo or with a couple of friends. It’s just a shame that so many of the game’s secrets were designed to be solved...
Dredge: The Pale Reach
The Pale Reach is a small expansion for Dredge that adds a new region to explore. The chillingly cold waters of The Pale Reach. The new region isn’t part of Dredge’s main story and can be tackled at any time, simply by sailing there. It does, however, offer some unique...
