Batman: The Telltale Series Episode 1: Realm of Shadows gives players a multi-faceted look into the world of one of DC Comics’ most intriguing heroes. Developer Telltale Games does a great job of balancing all 3 elements that compose the caped crusader as well as introduce long time characters with a unique twist. With the series off to an impressive start, the only concern is whether or not the developer can maintain the momentum with each episode.
Batman: The Telltale Series is another wonderful addition to Telltale’s growing library of games. The fantastic story is fully realized thanks to a wonderfully constructed soundtrack and excellent voice-acting. However, the technical issues are far too frequent to be given a pass here and it prevents the entire series from reaching the same acclaim prestige as other Telltale games. For fans of Batman, Telltale, or great story-telling Batman: The Telltale Series succeeds on all fronts, if only it ran smoothly.
Telling one of the most interesting Batman stories in any medium, Batman: The Telltale Series is a really cool take on Batman with some great fight scenes and fun investigations. It just really needs some technical polish.
Here’s a novelty: taking everything into account, Batman – The Telltale Series Episode 2: Children of Arkham is exactly as good as Episode 2. Telltale and Batman fans are well catered for in Batman: The Telltale Series' first episode, with a hefty dose of action and intrigue to set things up for the rest of the ensuing saga. We can't wait for more.
