Infamous 2 Reviews
Professional reviews from gaming critics
Nothing exists in Infamous 2 just because, and that’s something developer Sucker Punch should be commended for. When combined with how well-executed just about everything in the game is, the overall package is one of PlayStation 3’s best and a must-play for fans of the first game. Don’t be deceived by niche subject matter like I was when the original Infamous first came out. This is a rock-solid third-person action game with an incredible story, great characters, meaty gameplay and – above all else – a string that effectively ties everything together.
That will wrap up the Infamous 2 review and it will get the 4/5. It is pretty good but somethings could of been different or improved in my opinion. Still a fantastic game for what it is and with user generated content it could keep going for a long while. Pick it up if you are looking for a game post E3 and before the dry spell hits us in July.
Infamous 2 comes packed with a new feature called User Generated Content (UGC) where you can go anywhere in the game and make a new mission. I tinkered around with it for a bit and it feels exactly like LittleBigPlanet where it’s easy to pick up and make a mission, but difficult to master. I’ve seen a few really shitty missions, some decent ones, and some great puzzle ones. Sucker Punch should be praise for what they developed for the PS3. The overall package is an incredible installment into the PS3’s library of games and a must play for fans of the first game. Despite some camera issues this game offers incredible action, a lot of replay potential, and a fantastic story. Action and superhero junkies will be pleased with this game.
