Uncharted 3: Drake's Deception realises what we dreamed video games would one day become. "All men dream: but not equally." Nathan Drake utters T.E. Lawrence's poignant phrase as the curtain raises on Uncharted 3: Drake's Deception. Like others, we dared to dream. For 20 years we longed for a cinematic interactive experience capable of rivalling those we watch on the silver screen. Each of our experiences in the interim have felt like stepping stones on the path to Uncharted 3. It may sound hyperbolic — and some will disagree — but Uncharted 3 emphasises the very reason we play video games.

IGN defines a 10.0 -- a masterpiece -- as "the pinnacle of gaming, a masterpiece may not be flawless, but it is so exceptional that it is hard to imagine a game being better." That's Uncharted 3: Drake's Deception. From start to finish, single player to multiplayer, this game sings. The characters, the graphics, the sound, the story – they’re all top notch. If you’re willing to skip Uncharted 3, be prepared to miss one of gaming’s finest moments.

Uncharted 3: Drake’s Deception is a fantastic game. Naughty Dog has done an incredible job of creating a fantastic campaign that using a well-paced combination of puzzles, action, and cutscenes to ensure that each feels evenly spaced and never repetitive. When I done playing the single player adventure I was able to change over to multiplayer and continue to feel like I’m making progress in developing my avatar.

As a whole, Uncharted 3’s single player portion is one of those games that continually pushes forward. Whether it be Drake’s daunting quest at hand, or the beautiful world that Naughty Dog continually throws at you, there’s always something that will keep driving you towards the end game, and once you get there a whole wealth of equally well made content awaits in multiplayer.

Uncharted 3's trivial flaws are buried beneath a tidal wave of big-budget spectacle, and a genuine narrative warmth far beyond most blockbuster titles.

Now with a third outing under his belt in the form of Uncharted 3: Drake’s Deception, Nathan Drake comes to an end, of sorts, in his journey.

Uncharted 3: Drake’s Deception is a fun entry in Nathan Drake's journey that goes bigger than before. Nathan Drake’s story is fascinating as it focuses on his willingness to go after treasure even if it hurts his loved ones. The setpieces provide a shot of adrenaline and manage to top Uncharted 2: Among Thieves by being even more bombastic and cinematic.
