If ever there was a time THQ needed a TKO in the video game retail market, it is now. Well, maybe they needed it last year. Regardless, the publisher has been ravaged with layoffs recently and rumours of an imminent sale have investors and fans of the publisher concerned for...
Kingdoms of Amalur: Reckoning starts out with a bang as you are revived from a deathly state while tangled in a pile of corpses. From here you are lead to a tutorial section where you learn to attack, defend, and use magic. You can attack with either your primary and...
Rayman Origins
As the years passed, I didn’t play as many side-scrolling games mainly due to the drop in their popularity. Gaming consoles became more advanced and 2D games started to move into the world of 3D gaming. However, some very good side-scrolling games are still being made. One of those games...
MW3 picks up right after the end of MW2. In fact it picks up right after the scene where you threw that knife through the enemies eye. If you’ve never played a Modern Warfare game, the story may be difficult to follow, but like any good action experience, the story...

Dark Souls

Punishing, unforgiving, torturous, and ridiculously hard are some common themes used to market the game. Yet many in the gaming world, including myself, are gluttons...
Rage
If there is one company that is synonymous with first person shooters, it is id Software. Known for the likes of Doom, Wolfenstein 3D and Quake, id has been making FPS games for quite sometime and in many ways they are considered an industry leader in this genre. A couple...
Call of Juarez: The Cartel tells the story of a three person special task force thrown together to bring down a Mexican drug cartel that bombed a US law enforcement agency. You can play as either Ben McCall, who is a gruff LAPD cop dressed up like a poor-mans ‘Wyatt...
Last month, I had an opportunity to check out Red Faction: Armageddon at a preview event in San Francisco. At the time, I was impressed with what the game had to offer. The single player campaign was engaging, the Ruin mode offered up some mindless carnage, and the Infestation mode...
