Cash is a new addition to Assassin’s Creed 2 and plays a heavy role in how you play the game. You acquire Florins by pickpocketing people, finding hidden treasure, or simply completing quests. These can then be used to buy new weapons, items, armor, or health vials. Assassin's Creed II transforms a middling action game into an intriguing and consistently entertaining open-world adventure. Based on this game, Ubisoft Montreal should run a clinic on how to iterate a franchise and if the series continues in this vein, the next installment will take aim at Rockstar's best efforts. The experience is layered, unique, and shows an incredible attention to detail. Assassin's Creed II is one of the few games this year that absolutely blew me away.  The gameplay and story worked perfectly in keeping me engrossed in the world and it's characters.  While the beginning was a bit slow once the game picked up it never stopped going.  Assassin's Creed II is an absolute must buy and is probably one of the best games released this year.
