Goat Simulator isn’t much of a game, but it’s a hell of a good time. The small but dense map is packed with tons of jokes and bugs that should be seen rather than talked about, and there’s at least a few hours’ worth of entertainment in goofing around with the jetpack alone. It’s a clever interactive spoof of all the broken game physics we’ve seen in open worlds – almost like a greatest hits album...

Goat Simulator is a fun game to pick up and play with plenty of laughs to be had alone or with friends but doesn't take too long to complete or have much replay value.

Goat Simulator is a great time for the first few hours when you're seeing everything for the first time, but once you've seen everything, there's no reason to keep playing.

Goat Simulator is rough around the edges and doesn’t offer a lot of content, but if you’re into destruction, humor, and the sheer ridiculousness of it, it’s not a baaaaad deal at all. If you’re only going to buy one goat simulator this year, make it this one.

That being said, what Coffee Stain Studios has managed to pull out of the concept is an impressive feat in and of itself. In a way, Goat Simulator calls to mind the other big "Simulator" game, Surgeon Simulator 2013, in that it doesn't try to take players money and run. It acknowledges its silly premise and gets a surprising amount of mileage out of it. Only a very particular type of gamer will gi...

Coffee Stain Studio’s main page for Goat Simulator describes it as “a small, broken, and stupid game.” These aren’t the words I’d typically use to begin a review, but I found them appropriate. The developers’ humorously dismissive statement accurately sums up the wacky, physics-based sandbox, but it doesn't encompass the entirety of the title’s shortcomings and goat-related chaos.

Okay I get it. Goat Simulator is supposed to be stupid, broken, glitchy and perhaps nothing more than a novelty gag. The developers almost advertise it as such. It’s not a game you take seriously, even if you tried. It’s a game you’ll Twitch or YouTube all the ridiculous things you can do to this poor goat. The PC version became an internet cultural phenomenon for its bugs, crashes, shabby visuals...
