Two Point Campus is another excellent entry from Two Point Studios that showcases not only more of the team's penchant for humorous and accessible management sim gameplay but genuine love for the genre. With a new spin that makes for a distinctly new-feeling gameplay loop and moment-to-moment decision making there's something here for both hardcore sim fans and casual onlookers. Some missed opportunities and controller-specific issues aside, there's never been a better time to create a ton of student debt.

Overall Two Point Campus is an improvement over Two Point Hospital. For some people creating a hospital where patients are treated for a wide variety of strange diseases will be more enticing, but Two Point Studios has done a very good job at blending the humour of the previous game with the atmosphere of a university campus. The result is a great simulation game that builds and improves on the strength of the previous title. And by doing so it has nestled itself at the top of the genre.

For me, I couldn’t be happier. Well, I could. A university may be a different ballgame than a hospital, but it’s not a very shocking twist. I’d love to see Two Point County zoomed into something small like a restaurant or sports team, or zoomed out to a city or, well, county. But Two Point Campus is a wonderful return to the universe, and I’ll happily — perhaps impatiently — be waiting for the next chance to visit.

The game exudes charm and silliness, and there is a lot of heart here. You can tell there was genuine enjoyment had by Two Point Games when making this. I often found myself zooming in to watch animations play out or hunting for the odd hidden reference or joke. Every part of the game feels like it was crafted to push this unhinged satirical school theme and its done well enough that even after 15 hours I still enjoyed watching students just go about their weird little lives in my school.

Two Point Campus is a great management sim that manages to be quite deep, without adding unnecessary complexity, and its main campaign makes for a fun tutorial, and the writing is downright hilarious. The only real downside is that it doesn’t really do much new if you’ve already played Two Point Hospital.

Being a dean isn't always rewarding, but Two Point Campus is a much more involved and rewarding sim than Hospital before it. The balancing act never stops, and it's a wilder ride than ever.

It appears Two Point Studios may have taken a class or two in Funny Business.

Two Point Hospital was a great first step from the aptly named Two Point Studios, a studio founded by former Bullfrog developers, basically reviving their cult classic simulator Theme Hospital for a modern audience. Despite some issues, the game was really fun, and even managed to work perfectly on a console, with controllers and such. It was a great foundation for the team to come up with a more creative sequel, and that’s what we got with Two Point Campus. Instead of taking care of a hosp...

If you enjoyed Two Point Hospital on Xbox Game Pass, you're going to love Two Point Campus as well. It's a great sequel in a superb simulation series, and the college/university setting feels like the perfect next step for Two Point Studios' brand of silly, strategic fun. It's also one of the most enjoyable Xbox simulation games out there thanks to its well-designed control scheme, complete with a single-player campaign you'll almost certainly get invested in.

Two Point Studios is an interesting studio; you can't fault it for knowing what it wants to do. With Bullfrog and Lionhead Studios alums, and the first title being Two Point Hospital - the spiritual successor to Theme Hospital - it was clear that this is a studio that is a fan of and wants to create fun simulation titles. Appealing and fun simulation games are something they're looking to continue, and I would argue they are succeeding with the new release of Two Point Campus.

Two Point Campus is a fantastic management game that picks up right where Two Point Hospital left off. It isn't the most innovative successor, but it doesn't have to be. Two Point Campus offers more than enough to keep you entertained right up to graduation.

University management is an easygoing joy which makes it a great time for all, even if it doesn't entirely reward you for building a campus that's uniquely yours.

Two Point Campus certainly makes the passing grade thanks to its unrelenting sense of humour and occasionally brilliant level concepts, but too much repetitive busywork keeps it from getting top marks.

Just as it did with Two Point Hospital, Two Point Studios has combined neatly overlapping management systems with an irrepressably oddball charm.

Two Point Campus might not reinvent the wheel, but this is a game that knows exactly what it is and who its audience is – and it nails it. Two Point’s tried-and-tested formula works like magic in a university setting, and the freedom it gives to players to create the campus of their dreams is unrivalled. Its attempts at humour might sometimes fall flat, but it hardly matters when everything else is so good.
Read Full ReviewTwo Point Campus is intensely good on most fronts. The game is quite pretty, its comedy is charming, and its gameplay cycle is potently addictive. The climb from the lowest, most crummy campus up to the most noble and illustrious of college grounds is an addictive grind, and Sandbox Mode awaits those stalwart enough to overcome everything else. There are some frustrations to overcome at times, such as uncooperative or nonsensical build restrictions. However, all in all, it’s a game I could lose hours on in the blink of an eye, just like it was the first day of the...

Not only does Two Point Studios manage to successfully build upon everything Two Point Hospital did right, with Two Point Campus it’s added a whole new level of learning and given its flavour of sim game a more intimate aspect to management that’s endearingly reminiscent of The Sims.

Uh oh. Your mum told you that you either had to go to university or you had to get a job so you begrudgingly signed up to a Media Studies course and dossed about for three years smoking doobies and watching Countdown. Now you've got a useless degree, a lingering reputation as the family pothead, and a mountain of debt from tuition fees to worry about. Thanks a lot, Nick Clegg.
