Two Point Hospital is a most excellent return from the abyss for the ‘hospital simulator’, one that is wholesome, colourful, incredibly creative and a joy to behold. It does tend to get a little repetitive after a while, but up until that point you’re in for a real treat.

Two Point Hospital on console is simply a delight. Anyone who has fond memories of playing Theme Hospital will find themselves right at home here. Packed with challenge, wonderful humour and a flawless control scheme, it’s very hard to find fault with anything Two Point Hospital has to offer. Now if you’ll excuse me, I have patients to tend to – and will you please stop dying in the corridors?

There’s very little to complain about with Two Point Hospital. While it’s not the best sim game ever, it’s a damn good one, and the fact that it’s come over to consoles is great, even with the understandable concessions considered. Those who give it a try will find a funny, charming, and incredibly addictive game that they can lose hours of their life to.

Theme Park proved that big business could be big fun, and its spiritual successor Theme Hospital became something of a cult classic that kids from the era continue to quote even today. Given the legendary 1997 business simulation’s legacy, it’s curious that it’s taken this long for Two Point Hospital to make an appointment, but if you’ve tried contacting your medical practice lately you may be able to appreciate the delay.

Two Point Hospital was one of the best games of 2018, and the Pebberley Island DLC doesn’t let it down. While the first level relies on crazy weather and useless janitors it’s merely a way to get you up to speed before the true, imaginative, creative weirdness of levels 2 and 3. The game forces you to change up your tactics, and throws you real challenges you’ve never faced before. It’s clever, and tough, and it’s never less than incredibly fun. It may be only three new levels, but ...

Two Point Hospital keeps the spirit of Theme Hospital and improves on the gameplay, but buggy pathfinding and missing quality-of-life features brings the whole experience down.

May it be the likes of Shadow of the Colossus or Metal Gear Solid, if it’s quite there but not enough to push the boundaries, it’s still an awesome game.

Two Point Hospital revitalizes the business management genre with flair, character, and enthusiasm. Easily understandable tips and icons make it relatively stress-free to get a working urgent care center running smoothly, while the potential for deep optimization through tweaking building layout and making wise hiring and training decisions leave plenty to munch on for the micromanagement lovers among us. If we’re on the verge of another classic genre renaissance, this is a great first foot forward.

Two Point Hospital is the perfect building simulator that has liberal amounts of humor, cute interactions and progression that allows a sense of urgency we always look for in a game. I have found each hospital a challenge that felt satisfying when I reached level 3 in each one. Two Point Hospital surprised me with how attached I became to accomplishing saving patients and keeping my hospitals vomit and ghost free. The staff interaction, training and break allocation kept me on my toes but I t...

More than Theme Hospital for the modern age, Two Point Hospital brings fresh features and new maladies to a genre full of try-hard games that tried to be what this game is. With charm and wit to spare, Two Point Hospital is the game patients have been patiently being patient for.

Medical careers are highly rewarding, but they can also be stressful, tedious, and full of high-stakes choices. Two Point Hospital dramatically diminishes those stakes, because in this topsy-turvy world, patients contract diseases like Premature Mummification and seek treatment in cartoonishly large injection machines. Like real hospital work, managing this network of treatment centers is satisfying – but Two Point Hospital can’t do away with the tedium of routine.

Though not all of the features were used to their potential, I got a lot out of the experience of playing the game and didn’t feel too overwhelmed (as much as possible when your patients start dying, at least). Developer Two Point flashes their pedigree with their freshman game; Two Point Hospital is easily one of the best sim games you can grab in 2018. I don’t consider myself to be an overachiever generally, but in Two Point Hospital, I try to run the best possible hospital, not just for my patients’ well-beings, but to keep the game continuing on.

There’s a few technical hiccups and some oddities that come from Two Point Hospital’s occasional lack of explanation. When you’re building rooms, there’s not always any obvious indication of why it won’t allow you to finalise them, though it’s normally because you’ve placed an item that impedes another. It probably shouldn’t have let you place the offending item in the first place! Besides that I suffered from at least one nurse that became stuck in their treatment room, and thanks to not being able to pick them up or move them, they eventually quit. They still remained stuck though, and...
