There’s a solid game somewhere inside WUCHANG, but it falls short of greatness in several areas, including the fact that this genre is really starting to feel a bit tedious and saturated in 2025. But if you’re craving some of that early early 2010s punishment era Soulslike feeling, this game...
Nintendo hit it out of the park with this one, and I believe that any Switch 2 owner should get this game. You won’t regret it, I assure you. Now, if you’ll excuse me, I have one more Banana to find to increase my strength and hours of gameplay to...
Overall, the Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 3 + 4 pair of remakes does a lot of good stuff, opening up the world of skating, expanded and improved, to a brand-new audience. Whether you were born yesterday or have been a THPS veteran for decades, you’ll surely find something in this...
PATAPON 1+2 REPLAY is a stellar remastered bundle that exceeded my expectations. While it’s not the type of game I’d typically gravitate toward, I now fully appreciate its unique appeal. It’s one of those games everyone should try just to experience its truly one-of-a-kind gameplay. I’m sure it’ll stick with...
The game’s score accentuates these moments, composed once again by the talented Ludvig Forssell, utilizing the ultra-heartbreaking “BB’s Theme” from the original game at its most crucial points to drive me to tears. It helps to evoke some deeply personal feelings and emotions that not many other games have been...
Ruffy and the Riverside has the pieces in hand, with an appealing artistic style and unique swapping mechanics paving the way for an in-depth puzzle game series. Although I didn’t find its story or enemies particularly interesting, everything else about the title felt refreshing and fun, leaving me feeling hopeful...
FBC: Firebreak
I’m sure fans of Control will get even more enjoyment out of this game, as it’s set within that universe and features its characters and enemies. Unfortunately, that one’s been in my backlog for years, so I have little connection to the franchise. But the good news is, I still...
Gex Trilogy
Regardless of your age, this could be right up your alley if you love retro games, specifically platformers. Buyer beware, though: The ‘90s jank is still very much present in Gex Trilogy. If you can look past the original gameplay flaws and potentially dated humor, you’re in for a good...
Dune: Awakening encapsulates everything I want from a survival MMO game. There’s an interesting storyline, a beautiful world worth exploring, and some grindy aspects to keep me playing for as long as I want. If I’m only limited to an hour, I can quickly gather some resources and progress through...
There’s a strong anti-AI and pro-human creativity message embedded in the main storyline throughout, and this game is a glorious testament to exactly why real art is so important. It’s a heartfelt homage that celebrates creative expression.
In the end, NS2 Welcome Tour feels like an interactive manual on how the Switch 2 works. It’s not entirely devoid of joy, but I also can’t recommend it. But, if you come from the camp of “hey, it’s just $10,” then by all means, have at it.
But when it comes to playing and unlocking new content, you can get new racers, karts, and other items passively, too. There are lifetime challenges like distance traveled, coins collected, tricks performed, and many others to keep players racing for hundreds and hundreds of hours.
