My expectations for Forza Horizon 3 have been quite high over the past few months, but after hours and hours of gameplay, extensively delving into each gameplay feature, it’s safe to say that Playground Games has managed to shatter every single one of them. Providing a deep, fun and addictive gameplay experience, Forza Horizon 3 is one of the best racing games of the generation.

Forza Horizon 3 is a beautiful, immensely entertaining, joyous arcade racer that successfully builds on Playground Games' already tremendous formula.

Since making the leap up to Xbox One, Forza’s open-world Horizon spinoffs have handily surpassed the more serious Motorsport originals.

Forza Horizon 3 is the strongest entry in the Forza Horizon offshoots by far, and easily a strong contender for the best racing sim out there. A wide selection of cars, a massive amount of terrain to explore, many events, and the ability to customize everything to your liking places Forza Horizon 3 in a class of its own. It's good to be the boss.

Forza Horizon 3 is rather a strange one. It sits in its own category as a racing game genre, but is somewhere in between the arcade and simulation type of games. It’s not similar to iRacing, Project Cars, Need for Speed or Burnout — it is what it is. Forza Horizon 3 is a good game that’ll guarantee you a fun time.

Forza Horizon 3 is a mixed bag of euphoric delights and agonising woes. This is how Forza Horizon 3 introduces itself to the PC world..

The great southern land serves as an excellent playground for Forza Horizon 3 in this beautifully presented open world racer full of awesome things to see and do. Another terrific racing game in what has been a strong period for the genre.

That’s kind of where Forza Horizon is at right now: It’s a series that’s consistently enjoyable on an every-other-year cycle. Playground Games’ take on Australia falls right in line. It’s not quite the leap that the franchise made from the original Horizon to Horizon 2, but it’s not on cruise control, either. There’s enough variation here — from the feel of cars to the game modes to the radio stations — that this is another excellent installment in an always-excellent series. And, since variation is a key reason for Horizon 3‘s success, well, Australia seems like it’s probably the most perfectly appropriate setting.

A fantastic PC debut for the series.

Driving down the Great Ocean Road in a Ferrari or taking a tour of the Australian Outback in your four-wheel drive no longer needs to be something you have to take a whole weekend, a loan and a holiday to enjoy, as Forza Horizon 3 brings the open-world driving experience right here to the land down under, and the results are incredibly satisfying. With an addictive and simple reward system, a huge range of different events to take part in and a presentation that is simply oozing with gorgeous...

After exploring the rocky terrain of Colorado and the scenic street racing of Mediterranean Europe, the Horizon Festival has moved to Australia. As much as developer Playground Games tries to sell its appreciation of this country and its unique destinations (like the kangaroo-infested outback and pristine beaches of Surfers Paradise), this location was chosen with chaos in mind. The development philosophy behind Forza Horizon 3 must have been “What would Vin Diesel’s character in Fast and the Furious do in this situation?”For an arcade racer of this variety, focusing on over-the-top track designs and stunts was the right call. Not only does this approach further distinguish this series from sister series Forza Motorsport, it creates more racing variables and a hell of a lot more excitement for the people behind the wheel.

Forza Horizon 3 feels familiar with its already-polished gameplay, but the new setting, cars, and incredible customization options opens the throttle on an already-fantastic platform. The team has built on an already stable platform, bringing entirely new ways to play. I struggled to find a single thing I didn’t love about Forza Horizon 3, and that’s a fantastic problem to have.

Forza Horizon 3 is as much a driving game as a racing game. Through a superbly realized version of Australia as well as a wide variety of terrain, cars and challenges, this free-roaming car simulation offers a valuable playbox. But it also managed to muster "cor blimey" moments that made me feel a whooping rush of speed and liberation.

Turn 10 Studios & Playground Games are back with the latest addition to the Forza Horizon franchise. Forza Horizon 3 truly is the perfect sequel. It takes everything we enjoy about the Forza Horizon franchise and adds just enough to keep it fresh. If you’re a Horizon fan seeking confirmation that Horizon 3 is a worthwhile successor – let me say without hesitation that this is what you’re looking for. With that said, if you’re a newcomer to the Horizon franchise, rest assured that you won’t be lost – Horizon 3 does an excellent job catching you up to speed on what Horizon is all about.

The still relatively young Forza Horizon series has been consistently great across its first two entries and Forza Horizon 3 continues that impressive trend with distinctive driving physics that are better than ever and a robust campaign full of different events that takes players across Australia.

Forza Horizon 3 is a masterclass in open-world racing and bigger and better than its excellent predecessor across the board. It looks fantastic, the car selection and customisation is second to none, and the size and variety of the sprawling Australian outback is magnificent. Above all, Horizon 3 never loses sight of the fact that tearing through postcard-perfect locations should be fun, and it puts the tools in our hands to keep it that way, always. This is the racing game I’ve been waiting for, and it's officially my favourite thing on four wheels. A fair dinkum triumph, mates.

Forza Horizon 3 does not follow the path of Microsoft's previous titles and proves that it is worth having Xbox One or finally switching to Windows 10.

After playing every game in the Forza series, I can say without any hesitation that this is, by far, the best Forza game to date. The open-world driving mechanics are seamless, the amount of content is vast, and the social game modes deliver the most variety the series has ever seen. While previous iterations from the Forza Horizon series were used to first introduce and fine tune the open-world mechanic, Forza Horizon 3 feels like the series grand crescendo as all of that work has lead up to the best Forza game I've ever played. I already was a big fan of the Forza series, but Forza Horizon 3 is beyond anything I could have ever imagined for the series and I can’t wait to discover more of its beautiful world.

Forza Horizon 3 brings an incredible diverse open world in the Australian Outback that begs to be discovered. With a great soundtrack, a plethora of vehicles to unlock, and plenty of challenges varying in difficulty, Horizon 3 proves to be a must buy for racing fans.

Forza Horizon 3 is another stellar open world racing game that has a plethora of things to see and do. Some of it can get somewhat repetitive during prolonged sessions, but Playground Games has really gone to town in packing the game with a variety of events and some great online activities to keep you hooked. Hit the gas and set off on an Aussie racing odyssey. You won't regret it.
