Fast, satisfying combat and the most ambitious single player for a fighting game yet, Injustice 2 is a great game elevated further by its attention to detail and Cavill-esque good looks.

There's not too much to not like about Injustice 2's port to the PC. A great fighting game along with plenty of features to keep you busy.

Injustice 2 is a solid game with beautiful characters and interesting fighting mechanics. The hunt for loot is real, and some may be put off by the microtransactions, but it's clear that NetherRealm hasn't lost a step.

Despite a few performance hiccups we encountered and the absence of a few of the more fun console perks or events, Injustice 2 on PC is a much better port than the first game or Mortal Kombat X. And a good thing too, because Injustice 2 is a superb fighting game. Combat is satisfying and is just as accessible to casual fans as professionals, and there’s an absolute wealth of content both online and offline that could keep you playing forever. The story mode is an absolute blast, with fun wr...

The Injustice comic has always been at its best when it focuses on fleshing out the key players in this dark superhero universe over setting the stage for the games. That's certainly the case with this issue, which offers a terrific take on Ted Kord and his relationships with pupil Jaime Reyes and former partner Booster Gold.

NetherRealm Studios had two jobs with Injustice 2. Job one: Embrace the opportunity to tell one of the most exciting superhero stories ever. Job two: Deliver a fresh and exciting fighting game in a market that is shadowed by three giants of the genre that are rarely rivaled. The good news is, Injustice 2 does more than smash expectations, but obliterates them into vapour as if they were struck by Superman’s heat vision.
Read Full ReviewAs it stands, Injustice 2 is a triumph for NetherRealm. The game expertly builds upon the foundation laid by the original with an endearing narrative, memorable fighters, gorgeous animations, and a slew of different modes and features that’ll keep fans engaged for countless hours. Despite a few weaker moments in the story, a so-so loot system, and a microtransaction-laiden cosmetic feature, Injustice 2 is a spectacular fight title by any standards. Best of all, this game doesn’t just cater to the comic book fan, but those that play it may find themselves with an overwhelming desire to acquaint themselves with...

DC’s comic creations regularly end up in second place to Marvel at the cinema box office – but when it comes to games, Batman and his super-powered squad mates consistently annihilate the Avengers.

Not content with just being a stylish and smart fighting game, Injustice 2 delves into deeper territory with a must-play story mode for DC fans and progression systems that'll keep players coming back for more.

Injustice 2 goes to great lengths to be a fighting game with longevity in mind without ostracizing a more casual audience. A superb story, a great roster, and a smart, if overly complicated, Gear system all contribute to that, and the result is arguably the best overall fighter of modern times.

I suck at fighting games, but I’ve always been enamored with them since the days of Pit Fighter on the SEGA Genesis. When I first saw Blanka in an Arcade, I fell in love with the green brute. And my life was over when Soul Calibur came out with the Dreamcast. Over my gaming career, despite my comparative lack of skill, fighting games have held a special place in my heart. But as I grew older, I wanted games with more depth, more things to do, and more than just tournaments and basic multipl...

At the same time, if you’re an enthusiast fighter and want a competitively viable game with a lot of depth to explore, Injustice 2 makes a strong case for itself. It’s the full package in a market filled with fighters that have come out half-cooked. I plan on savoring it for months to come.

Heroes don’t kill. As a child, I never questioned that unwavering rule, and never came to the conclusion that things would be better off if Robin started cutting people’s throats open and letting them bleed out just to prove a point to his dad. And yet, there was something I couldn’t quite take my eyes away from in Injustice, and it’s here again in Injustice 2. These paragons are heroism that I never believed could take a life, acting like the villains they hunted… And, despite not being the biggest DC fan, I couldn’t turn away.

Injustice 2 has built upon the original in every way and then added a whole host of content on top, setting a new standard for fighting games. The gear system alone adds a ton of depth allowing players to experiment with different builds for characters, and that keeps you coming back to the Multiverse or playing online. Injustice 2 has so much content to play around with, and if you enjoy fighting games or the DC Universe in general then this comes highly recommended.

Injustice 2 isn't the most original fighting game on the block, but it might be the most balanced and thoroughly entertaining one - gear system notwithstanding.

Injustice 2 is a fine game. It’s basic enough for newcomers to pick up and play but still has depth for experienced players to explore. The story mode is the best in the fighting game genre and really warrants more. However the whole experience is crushed by an experiment to bring mobile game style random bullshit into console games and ultimately makes the game forgettable once something else comes along.

Injustice 2 improves upon Injustice: God Among Us in almost every way. It's faster, smoother, better animated, and better written than its predecessor, and is definitely NeatherRealm's best fighting game yet. While the Clash system sullies otherwise great fighting mechanics, and the game's story has a few problems of its own, I've had tons of fun with Injustice 2. As both a comic book and video game fanatic, I'd recommend Injustice 2 to anyone who is even remotely interested in it, as it does its source material justice while delivering both a great single player and online experience, and looks...

Injustice 2 feels like a step up from Gods Among Us in every way imaginable. It's a far deeper experience, follows up wonderfully on the last game's story, and also gives reasons to keep coming back for repeat visits. The rich cast of fighters all have their own distinct styles, but they're all wrapped up in an easy-to-learn fighting system that's just plain fun to play. NetherRealm has a true grasp of what makes the DC Universe special and this game is as much of a love letter to that world as it gets.

Injustice 2 is NetherRealm once again outdoing itself. This is the best, most polished, most impressively produced story mode to ever feature in a fighting game. The game’s cast — more than a dozen of which are newly playable characters — is varied and interesting, thanks to additions like Swamp Thing, Supergirl and the Red Lantern who has a blood-vomiting space cat, Atrocitus. Even if you aren’t a diehard DC Universe fan, there’s bound to be someone on the roster you’ll love to play as.

The Caped Crusader and the billionaire. The last survivor of Krypton and the reporter. Most of DC Comics’ heroes lead double lives, all in an attempt to blend into society as seemingly ordinary people who don capes and masks when trouble arises. NetherRealm Studios’ 2013 fighting game Injustice: Gods Among Us also balanced duality, finding success as a fun fighting experience coupled with a popular story. Injustice 2 once again delivers knockout blows with its super-powered story and fighting, but finds a third way to entertain through an addictive collecting component.Injustice 2 doesn’t reach the same level of narrative intrigue...
